Hotel Reymar

The location is nice, but the stingy policies & bad service ruined my trip👎🏻 💧 Water, coffee, and drinks are only available at breakfast: The hotel shuts off all dispensers after breakfast, forcing you to pay for your own drinks the rest of the day. It is incredibly frustrating not to have access to free water! 🧼 Gross hygiene: Housekeeping just refolded my damp, dirty towels instead of replacing them, and I had no shower gel for 3 days! 🍲 Boring food: The hot buffet is repetitive and doesn't taste fresh—only the fruits were good. 📶 Hidden fees: Get ready to pay extra for in-room Wi-Fi, the room safe, and the mini-fridge. 🔊 Way too loud: The walls are paper-thin and constant noise makes sleep difficult. Bottom line: Do yourself a favor, save your cash, and book somewhere else!"

Positives: -AC keeps the rooms at a comfortable temperature. -Mostly friendly staff. -Food is simple but ok, with some different options. Negatives: -Many large groups of teenagers stay here, it's not ideal for families. The teens were screaming, laughing, bouncing balls on floor or ceiling until 3am. -Very limited entertainment for younger kids. -Rooms are very small, with very thin walls. Extremely noisy, you can hear other guests talking in their rooms. Other guests came knocking to ask us to not speak because they work at night and want to sleep during the day. -Beds are uncomfortable and small (ok for people up to 160-170 cm. Taller people will have their feet sticking out) -No ventilation in shower/bathroom (heat and humidity cannot escape). -No AC in lobby or bathrooms, it is easily over 30 degrees C there. Not comfortable. -Hotel shower gel/soap dispenser smells (stinks) of fish. If you dont want to smell like fish, bring your own shower products. -At dinner, water is only available at a charge. -Rooms standardly have no minibar or safe, but they are available at a charge. -No free wifi in rooms. -Front desk dont take things very seriously, dont expect much from them. -Hygiene: male (bar) staff was witnessed using and leaving he bathroom without washing their hands. Both the restaurant manager and reception staff were dismissive about this. They suggested 'maybe' he uses some alcohol hand sanitizer elsewhere. We paid €4000 for roughly a week (including a short flight), so it's not very cheap. There are far better options. If you want a bit more quality to enjoy your stay, do NOT choose Reymar."

BAR: We stayed in the Reymar hotel for 6 nights. We stayed there because my daughter had basketball. I’ll start off with a high. The bar was amazing. The drinks were nice good price. The bar staff were extremely friendly and they could do cool tricks. It’s always the same workers working day and night. They run around the place giving people their drinks and cheques. FOOD: As an Irish person I just lived off of chips and bread rolls most of the week. The odd time there was a chocolate fountain, pizza, burgers. There was a good enough selection of food just that I didn’t like it. STAFF: The staff working at the buffet were extremely rude. You needed a blue card to get in and they mark off every time you came in so you would only get 1 meal and didn’t come in several times. They are very strict which is fair enough but it went to the fact that they made my daughter cry. There was 2 people on the card and she was trying to explain that only 1 person was coming in now and the other later but they started shouting at her angrily in Spanish. She didn’t know what they were saying and they didn’t know what my daughter was saying but just kept shouting. After awhile I heard them and went to check to see what was happening and my daughter was crying. I’d never want that to happen to anyone else so I just wanted to say that. To make matters worse the 2 women (1 with short red/purple hair and the other blond with glasses) kept staring at us there next day whispering and laughing. None of them knew English. RECEPTION: There was a few receptionists. They were all extremely helpful. Most had decent English. They were always there to help. ROOMS: Rooms were very basic. The beds were all single and some pushed together. The rooms were small enough. You have to bring what you need eg. iron, shampoo, conditioner. The beds are really lovely and the pillows are too. You immediately sink into them. POOL:The pool was amazing. It’s a bit small but when we were there it was very busy and there was still a lot of room. There is a lovely hot tub and jacuzzi and a sauna. There aren’t many lounges but they aren’t really needed. ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment in the evening was very good. There was a lot of elderly dancing to all old Spanish music that as Irish we didn’t know. But if we were to go to an Irish hotel we would probably want Irish music. There was a very good atmosphere and a lot of time for a nice o’l dance. The only thing I will say is if you have young children or want to go to bed early it can be fairly noisy. THINGS TO DO: There is a lot to do. There is a train passing by that can take you even to barselona. There is a lot of streets with lovely shops bars and restaurants. There is an amusement park just 5 mins walk. There is a beach that you have to go under a tunnel to get there. There are inflatables just there on the beach that are really fun. The water can get pretty deep very quickly. The waves are very big in the evening and you can get pulled in and swept out pretty quickly. Bar 9.5/10 Food 6/10 Staff 2/10 Reception 8/10 Rooms 7.5/10 Beds 9/10 Pool 9/10 Entertainment 7.5/10 Places around 8/10"

Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing overall. While a few things were decent — the chicken kebab, carrot cake, and side dishes at dinner were actually good — most of the food was either extremely bland or simply bad. Even water was not included with dinner, which meant we had to pay extra for something very basic. The room itself lacked several essential amenities. There was no full-length mirror, only one power outlet for a four-person room, and WiFi in the room required an extra charge. We also had to pay extra for a mini fridge. The bathroom had no ventilation, leaving the room constantly humid. Cleanliness and housekeeping were below standard. The beds were only made each day, but the sheets were not changed for an entire week, and there was visible dust under the beds, making it clear the room had not been cleaned properly. The balcony was also poorly equipped, with no table or drying rack. In addition, the hotel seemed overcrowded with large school groups, making it difficult for other guests to find available sunbeds by the pool. Another issue was the lack of privacy around the pool area. There are large glass panels facing directly toward the street, allowing people walking outside to look straight into the pool area while guests are trying to relax. Reflective or one-way glass should have been installed to provide more privacy for hotel guests. One of the most frustrating experiences was the parking situation. Staff told us there were no available parking spaces and refused to let us in. After driving around for almost an hour and a half looking for parking, we returned and found three empty spaces ourselves. This made the situation feel dishonest and very poorly managed. Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations at all. The extra charges, lack of basic facilities, poor cleanliness, and disappointing service made the stay far from enjoyable."

Mr&Mrs haulkory, Mauritius, We were there recently and to be honest Nick &Hanna been very nice to us.We've had a wonderful stay and would recommend the place to anybody who is looking for a peaceful stay in eastbourne. Close to city center,clean room and breakfast was good. Overall our stay was great and we heartily thank Nick& Hanna."
